...and all the other things you can get and change on the current breed of mobile phones?
Every phone I have had in the past 5 years have all had the facility to upload any content I wanted by connecting them to a PC. Sounds, themes, screens anything you want are not only available for free on the net but you can also make your own.
Since everyone must know someone with an internet equipped PC why then do people still spend silly money on crap, even that stupid frog thing could have been downloaded off the net for free, it would have stopped the company responsible for it making the millions they did.
I've just got a Sony Ericsson K750i and like the previous ones I can change anything I want for free by using my PC, the internet and little bit of intelligence.

Just ordered a free upgrade to one of these, after having the 700i for about a year.. what's better on the 750 other than the camera and extra memory? e.g. battery life - any better? Just realised I don't know why I'm upgrading, other than because it's there for the taking! I didn't bother checking out Nokia phones for instance, and thinking perhaps I should have done? Or is the 750 the dogs' danglies at the moment for those of us that don't need smartphones?

I didn't have a 700 so can't compare, but I can't fault it on anything so far. It does exactly what it says on the tin.
For a single ringtone the net is fine. For more it is worth buying either a bluetooth thingy / memory card reader / cable off fleabay for a couple of squid.
I used to get mine off a Singapore website, sms's over for between 4 and 7 pence a tone/graphic so it wasn't worth buying the above.

I have an old Nokia which I purely use to call and text people (funny I know) so no bluetoooth or camera as I don’t want them.
For the sake of a one off rintone for 99p I downloaded one from Play.com that has been on my phone for years. If I was changing it regually then yes I would go to the bother of finding out how to download stuff for free and get it transferred to my phone.
I have The Twilight Zone as my ringtone.
