enamel baths

um not v car related question but..

anyone used any products they could recommend for restoring a discoloured enamel bath? its not badly damaged it just looks vv dirty and no normal cleaner makes a difference. on all those diy programs they paint them but bnq etc didnt have that sort of paint - anyone used one? i dont care if it lasts as am selling the house just dont want the hassle of replacing the suite.

um if it doesnt work could take out bath and put wheels on it to make something car related!

I repainted my enamel bath 5 years ago with a product called Tubby. It still looks like new and it gets used nearly every day because we have an overhead shower.

Bloody hard work though, you have to sand the bath to remove all the existing 'shine' and this isnt to be underestimated because you cant use a power tool because its so curvy.
Paint the stuff on and leave it for a day or two I think to let it set.

T-Cut sounds like it is worth a go.

If it is also damaged, I would also recommend Tubby. I used it on a bath, and it was fine for at least two years (after which I moved house).

Damn!! This thread is just a little too late! We just threw out a cas iron bath because the enamel had gone!!
