Hull City Chants

Hull City AFC and the local Police are dealing with the matter. The two sections of the ground were the chant originated are now closed until further notice and all CCTV footage is being reviewed.
The actions of a few people are not a true reflection of the people of Hull, much the same as Millwall supporters in days gone by should not be considered a true reflection of London.
Is this worth giving time to on this forum?

Until we are satisfied with the results of the investigation, areas N7 and E1 of the KC Stadium will be closed for future Hull City fixtures.
On behalf of the Club I would like to unreservedly apologise to all Queens Park Rangers supporters who were subjected to this unbelievably ignorant and distressing chant. The group of youths who were involved with this chant will be identified and will be dealt with in the most swingeing manner possible.
Hull City Football Club accepts full responsibility to sort this social behaviour problem out within this particular group of youths and once again apologies unreservedly for any distress caused to the travelling supporters of QPR.

Yes, I do think this is relevant to any forum of discussion, as these people (from all clubs etc) who behave like total morons, in such an insensitive matter, need to be busted, big time. I am sure that this was a tiny minority of the supporters, but nonetheless, it is pretty tasteless.

Not at all. Just commenting on a story which I found quite alarming, being a Londoner. The fact that is was Hull is irrelevant, so don't take it so personally. If it was Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, or fans from any other club, I would be condemning them just as much.
Yes the clubs are dealing with the matter, and very responsibly I might add, but it doesn't prevent people from commenting on it. It's newsworthy, therefore of public interest.
The morons who do this sort of thing love being the centre of attention, love reading about themselves in tabloid rags and love seeing themselves on tv.
I'm not saying it should be ignored, but the more attention the media give to this sort of behaviour, the more of a buzz these people get out of it.

I quite agree. This story is just as worthy of discussion as any other. It is not Hull bashing thread, more a discussion of some people's appalling behaviour and a club dealing with it effectively.
