Dishwasher trouble?

Our dishwasher has started playing up recently.

Glasses (and presumably everything else, but you can't see it!) come out with a kind of chalky film (best way I can describe it) and sometimes if you hold them up to the light you can see multi-coloured patches (like oily water).

Its topped up with salt and rinse aid and we use the Calgon (?) tablets with the little ball inside them.

If you rinse them in cold water it comes off.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Not too sure recently my dishwasher went on the blink, only working intermitently, breaking glasses, making funny whining noice.....

But we've booked a holiday now and she's working much better

Actually, we might use Finish.

Can you tell I don't do much of the shopping. Or putting-on-of-the-dishwasher ?

I think i just got my brand names mixed up.

I think we use whatever Finish is now called (I'm sure it's not Finish any more, but I could be wrong on that too). Oh dear, my Modern Man disguise is crumbling, I haven't got a fecking clue!

Mind you my clothes came out covered in salt when I used the washing machine too

Dear House-husband Plotty,
