Fleabay question....

Don't use it that often so looking for a few pearls of wisdom from those who may...

Wife bid for and won an item on July 26, paid immediately thru Paypal but we have heard nothing since despite sending two emails asking for an update on whether it has been dispatched or not.

What is a reasonable time frame to wait on Ebay before I start getting annoyed about this ? I don't really want to leave someone negative feedback but unless there is some communication I will. Apart from bouncing the Paypal as it went thru Visa, what other options are open to me ?

This has happened to me too. You need to phone PayPal now so that your issue is recorded with them. There are time limits for making complaints. Don't use the online complaint form if you can avoid it. PayPal staff are very helpful and friendly.

As you paid using PayPal (ie an almost instant transaction) I would have expected delivery within a few days.

Are we talking big money, or just a few quid?

It's that time of the year... could be the seller went on holiday a few days into the auction...

Not a great deal, about £50.00, however, its the priciple. I find the lack of communication very shoddy and if they have gone on holiday, thats just bad organisation.

Doesn't look like PP will deal with it as they have less than 50 feedbacks although a good rating.

I'll give it till the end of the week then hand it over to Visa.

I would ask ebay too before you start getting your credit card company involved, at least this way you can claim that you went through all the proper channels before claiming your money back.
