rubbish places to live

channel 4 last night! i only saw the 2nd half but it had some brilliant lines. it was a phil spencer and kirsty allsop thing.
all these people on the bbc news thing bang on about the home counties and the south east looking after themselves but Harry-gut was 3rd best place to live - and last time i went there it was in Yorkshire..!
at the end of the day it was a survey based on facts and they pointed out all the things wrong with the good places too.
i tried to fond a better link than this but t'interweb seems to be a bit rough at work this morning..

TBH I'm suprised Wales had 2 in the worst list. I thought it's be more like 9.

Saw this last night. Seems the South West doesn't feature on either list. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing really.

wiltshire and somerset should have been really bad - all the stupid 50mph sections of A-road should count against those counties!

our head off ice is there and i have thought the same - most of the people who live around there seem to think it's gone down hill alot over the last couple of years too.
they took the micky out of 'ull - but at the end of the day what's epsom got - 'the ashley centre'..!

Basingstoke wasn't even mentioned! (Perhaps it's so bad they assume that everyone takes it for granted and their top ten worst places to live are vying for the runners up spot).
Harrogate is lovely but the Bedale, Leyburn, Middleham, Masham area is even nicer.
But all these places (the good 'uns) had to have shoe shops and the like
so hey would all be majr towns/cities, they weren't picked just on the landscape ... I'd have thought Epsom epitomised rural Surrey - not that I've ever been there - been to Ascost which is close though ...
Surprised Norwich didn't get a mention.

Dear oh dear it really is a chav town.
I went to school there during the 1970's. It was like the wild west then!
Is the Bass House still there? I played in their pool team for a while. We used to get the odd frame in between fights.
