Being the (sad) musos that we are where I work, about every 6 months we set challenges to create a compiliation CD with a theme to it. This one is cover versions!
So what does everybody think are the best cover versions ever?

Agreed on the Cash interpretation of Hurt.

His cover of Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode) was good too.

Jose Feliciano did a nice cover of California Dreaming.

Omar and Erika Badu have done a pretty nice cover of Be Thankful.

And Hendrix's versions of All Along The Watch Tower and Sunshine of Your Love weren't bad.
