As a daddy I know how upset kids can get about this stuff.

I'd rather sit in a jam for something like this than to see a coned off lane of the a40 at Denham this morning with no sign of activity etc. Bloody makes my blood boil.

Good on em, I say. I bet nearly all of these drivers who were delayed would have been more than happy to have a few extra minutes on their journey to see a happy smiling child.

Not enough niceness and going out of our way for others in this day and age.

Plod Volvo rolled us to a halt to retrieve a mountain bike that had fallen off a 4x4, now parked half a mile further on....

Good on 'em. I know when my daughters were younger if they lost their favourite teddy there would have been no sleep for days. I can just imagine the look of delight on the little girls face when her lost teddy returns.

If it was me, I would have bought him to the door in a police car with flashing lights too.

I'd rather be delayed a few minutes so a kid can have a smile on her face again, than be delayed for a few hours whilst they scrape up the remnants of some halfwit who can't drive.
