[big]Bigger breasts could become a pain for Britain's women[/big]
The breasts of Britain's women have grown by a cup-size in the past decade and could be changing the shape of the female spine, according to new research.
An average bra size of 34B 10 years ago has increased to a 36C across this country and Australasia, the bra manufacturer Bendon has discovered.
The result was supported by retailer Marks & Spencer, but a spokesman said it had only noticed the change in the past five years.
Experts suggested that the increase was due in part to the popularity of breast enhancement, and fitted into a pattern of women gradually getting bigger.
Results from the most recent National Sizing Survey, released last year, revealed that women's busts and hips had grown by 1½ins since 1951. Waists had also grown by 6½ins. But details about bra size had been kept confidential by retailers.
Bendon also found that more than half of women were wearing ill-fitting bras, despite publicised information that this caused back pain and other problems.
Fiona Walsh, an osteopath on the General Osteopathic Council, said: "Breasts are growing, not only as a result of women getting bigger generally, but across the board."
She said that bigger breasts could lead to a flattening of the upper spine. However, the right bra could alleviate back and neck pain.
Obviously that doesn't bother me as...
a. I'm very happy with the current Mrs Inc
b. A woman's personality is what attracts me initially

First...
1. Really? D'ya think?
2. Ummmm, exactly what jobs do these "experts" do? I have visions of horrible little men in coke-bottle glasses, white lab coats, in a sterile environment and piles of porn magazines...

I guess Mrs Inc must be reading this as for most men (ok me at least) it's her looks that attract and the personality that decides whether I stay ...or not

That is definitly not good
Waists have grown by 5 inches more
I believe it's down to the fact that people (not just women) are generally getting bigger. Many women were also undernourished as a result of WWII (I think) and had a less sedentary lifestyle anyway.
Besides, who wants to cuddle a stick insect?? There's nothing more unattractive than the scrawny, bony women that the media spends all it's time trying to foist upon us.

I agree that stick insects are unattractive, but we are talking about an hourglass figure becoming a barrel figure which is not an improvement in my book.

I like "real" women. But it would be foolish to think that the model type is unattractive. They are attractive. Very. Sorry, but it's true.

Huh? Why change my original quote?
Nothing wrong with the model type at all but skinny women just don't do anything for me. Sorry.silversun said:

If they can combine a nice slim figure with some decent curves then they are very attractive. I don't find some of them very attractive at all-they have a look I call bony-tan. They have spent too long on a sunbed and don't eat enough.

Indeed...and while I'm not a big fan of the 'stick insect' look, if the choice were between too fat or too skinny (without going to extremes i.e. anorexic or morbidly obese), I know which I'd prefer...
