Restaurants near Heathrow

Mrs Puggit is catching the late flight to Sydney this week from LHR, and I'll drive out from London to meet her before she goes.

We're looking for somewhere to have some good nosh before she goes - as it's on the company. Not expensive, just good honest food!

Must be within 20 mins of the airport.

PH recommendations please :)

Good honest, no nonsense food at the Spur Steakhouse in Staines. Really nice steak, pretty cheap, but if it's on the company, go somewhere more expensive!

The Glasshouse at Kew is good, about 20 mins from airport.

There is a chinese quite literatley down the road from Heathrow in West drayton call the water Palace, stunning food, if not there is another one same area called the go sing ( owned by same family ) food is just as good only difference is Water palace is a nicer resturant inside ( more modern ). If not and you don't want to risk it there is a ASK in Uxbridge ( about 5 miles away ) and you know what you get with them.

Theres an Italian called Lupo's near the Runnymede/egham looks like a nissan hut from the out side ,but food and service is top notch

The Ostrich in Colnbrook was excellent when I was last in there a couple of years ago. Good pub food and nice atmosphere, if you don't fancy a full on restaurant.
