Good Golf Courses In Midlands/Worcestershire?

Anyone have a good recommendation for a visitor friendly course in the Birmingham/Worcs area.

I fancy playing somewhere new at the weekend and welcome some suggestions as its not always easy to get a good idea from the websites.

Try the Warwickshire in Leek Wooton, 2 great courses about £35 a round for non-members

Copt Heath Golf Club in Solihul. My Grandfather was the President there for a few years.

Played a round (or as close as i ever got to such a thing) at Ombersley Golf Course once, didn't find it too bad and you can to brum to there in about 30mins.

I have played Bransford and all I remember about it was the number of balls I lost! There are 14 lakes on the course

It's part of a Best Western Hotel complex, couldn't say if it is any good though because I don't play!

There's another big place near Bewdley (Kidderminster way), can't remember what it is called though.

Bransford and Ombersley are relaxed about people without a handicap certificate. I've played both - if you play Bransford you'll have to remember to 'lay-up' or take a lot of spare balls!
