Ah, pwiggy, but did you know Sultans of Swing was written after a gig at Rafters (now RockWorld)? And that 'Guitar George' is a personal friend of mine (if you count nodding terms as personal friend ).

And 'Telegraph Road' seems to be a homage to 'Tobacco Road' which is a blues standard.

I could go on and on and on and on............

When I first heard the band in about 1979 I thought it was a group called Sultans of Swing playing a track called 'Dire Straits'...

Well you can understand the logic!
