That would be out of the frying pan.
In US cities that are used to good weather, when anything falls out of the sky the entire road system grinds to a half.
It snowed in Atlanta, maybe an inch, slightly out of season. People abandonded their cars on I285 thinking they would get stuck.

Whilst i appreciate the point (and it is a good one) at least i would get a tan the rest of the year round and not have to look like a pasty ghost most of the year!!

Is it just me or does the crap weather and even slower moterways during rainy days make you wanna put up with George bush and the rest of the americans and migrate to LA!!!
You're cheesed off - well, I've got to ride my motorbike in this crappy weather for about 35 miles this evening.....but there's still not a whelks chance in a supernova that I 'd ever emigrate to the US. Unless, of course, Minnie Driver wanted me to live with her in Malibu.

Bad luck..... just proves that cars are better than bikes though

Last time I went to the states I was only too pleased to get back on the plane.
Despite the best efforts of Tony and his cronies to flush this country down the toilet, the grass isn't greener on the other side of the pond.
Remember, if you have an unpleasant vist to the US, go back to another region. The US is about 4,000 miles across and the regions are as different from one another(people, climate, weather, etc.)as different countries are from one another.
I been to quite a few countries in the course of my work, and have liked some and enjoyed meeting the local people (and sometimes the local academics
). Nevertheless I like the UK best for just about everything - the weather, the countryside, the beer, and most especially the British people themselves.
(Doesn't mean there isn't quite a lot I'd like to change mind you!)
