Having sold the movie rights for his book "Yes Man" for a million smackers or so, I'd say he's perfectly sane.

A colleague of mine's bro produced/directed the current tv series

Read it on holiday, thought it was superb. Apparently he's quite a talented writer.

A Danny Wallace used to play for Southampton,i think his family made history when 3 brothers played pro football in the same team?,confirmation on this please anyone.

Danny Wallace is a writer and is mates with Dave Gorman (of "Are you Dave Gorman" and the show where he lives a month according to horoscopes fame). This is his first TV venture a solo player and didn't have me massively impressed

he is indeed a writer and producer - he (according to his most recent book) he was a radio producer who got into TV, however i thought he'd produced the TV version of Are You Dave Gorman.. whatever he's a wrtiter producer as you say - and nothing to do with football.

i personally really like his stuff - his books revolve around his 'stupid boy projects' - similar to Tony Hawks (not the skateboarder!) but younger!

oh and if you have digital it's worth 'pressing the red button' after the show cos they do this really cheapy live broadcast - a bit like the old BBC broomcupboard on children's TV.

I've read "Join Me", which wasnt the greatest book ever, but I've just finished "Yes Man" and it was a very amusing and enjoyable read.

Until this programme came on, I had never heard of Danny Wallace! I have never heard of the footballer Danny Wallace either; but then I don't follow football!
