I employ an Office full of women, just recently we've had the Cornflake diet, the Cabbage diet and numerous other detox diets.

They've all gone on Holiday today, with the exception of one, my boss - So i've decided to have Fish and Chips for lunch, very nice they are too...

The best bit, i can eat them in peace and quiet cos the female boss has just got up and walked out in disgust, she started a diet today :hehe:

Why women think eating cabbage is a good way to lose their fat asses is beyond me. If you're serious about losing weight - do some bloody exercise! Then you can eat what you want!

Don't know what it is, but there is something about the female psyche that seems to believe there is a 'miracle diet' out there. Why?

Don't do diets.

Never have done.

Except the sausage sandwich for breakfast, one for lunch, and a proper (steak pie and wine) dinner.

Thankfully it's not something I have to worry about. Yet.

Oh this is so familiar.

They also make exercise into a fad. Last month cycling, this month the gym, next month step aerobics.

FFS no pain, no gain! A leisurely 6 mile cycle bimble once a week is no farking use whatsoever. I was trying to do eight vigourous miles a DAY and it wasn't having much effect that I could see.

Excercising to lose weight is an utter waste of time - if you are over weight you have to stop eating so much food. End of. No excuses, no otherway to get arround it.

The only way to lose weight is to starve yourself, look at Starvin Marvin.

Not true actually. When you stop eating your metabolism slows down as the body realises that starvation is setting in.

The thing that makes me laugh about female diets is that one week in four they can stuff themselves silly on chocolate and blame it on their period. And the resulting poor performance at their weigh-in that week is due to 'water retention', naturally.

When quizzed on this my wife retorted with asking what my excuse was for stuffing myself silly on chocolate 4 weeks out of four. My response was "I'm a man. I don't need an excuse".

It's very simple: eat less and get out more.

(As a Doctor friend of mine says after seeing a clinic full of fat diabetics - "there were no fat people in Belsen.")

When any bloke can tell them that 'cake retention' is far more common as a cause of obesity...

One hopes your office is a well-ventilated area.

Do they all look around at you in disgust assuming you’re the culprit?
