Like they say, if you want a documentary, get a BBC one. No-one on the planet does it quite the same, (yup... Not even National geographic, or that poxy discovery channel). Dickie Attenbrough all the way! The Blue Planet, Life on Earth, etc, are far superior. Mind you..I saw the 'March of the penguins' and it was great!

Thats the thing its not a documentary like The Blue Planet which I have seen, Atlantis has no narrative and is just set to music

I've seen it, and it just doesn't work. The visuals are fine, but its just not watchable. i like to hear Dickie telling what they are, where they come from, and where they are going... It might be ok for a nice little dinner party, on a big plasma screen TV as background music,m and background visuals, but not something I would want to sit down, and watch again. All IMHO you understand!

I love that film - one of my favourite. Also bought the sound track.

Far be it, Andy, for me who can rarely remember names, but ...

Richard Attenbrough: Actor - film director.
David Attenbrough: Zoologist - broadcaster
Michael Attenbrough: Theatre impresario.

I'm sure you can figure out who I meant. Sheesh. Pedants are so bloody pedantic. Of course I could correct you and say it is in fact Attenborough, and the David one is a Sir, but I knew what you meant, so I shall let it lie!

It all makes much more sense if watched with herbal enhancement.

As a heads up Deep Blue is on tonight BBC1 8:30
www.imdb.com/title/tt0365109/

I dont think its anywhere as good as the Blue Planet but at least it better than watching all the other rubbish they keep putting on
