Hi all,

Just a thought.

Anybody ever tried or known anyone who has participated in medical/drug research for cash? If so, what did you have to do and did you die?

Mucho grassyus :D

I took part in a vitamin E study a few years back - I now have a nice shiney coat....

Well that's what I spent the money on anyway.

I've done alot for Breast cancer research. Mines has not been paid for and has been based on an indepth questionaire and blood tests.

My Mum trialed Tamoxifen, before it started to be used in the treatment of Breast Cancer, again unpaid, the side effects for her after 5 years were a couple of transient strokes. She's trialing another drug for Breast Cancer, not sure of it's name, again unpaid.

Quite remarkable that this particular post has not created a cascade of smutty 'breast research' posts. A more well behaved/ civilised PH emerging?

IIRC you're not allowed to pay people to take experimental drugs. I work in this field but a lot further down the line. Can probably point you towards the rules if you like
