we have just been on a blatt around France/Switzerland/Germany and Belgium on the V-strom.
Quality moments in Germany meeting like minded bikers, 4 brits, a german, croatian and Israeli. The Brits all kept saying "don't mention the war". The hall of the guest house had lots of pictures of the Frau's family with certificates etc all in full miltary uniform with swasticas etc and then to cap it at dinner we were just beginning to eat when over the music system came "the great escape" and various other WWII film scores. we were convinced the guy organising the meet had planned the music but he didn't get the joke. We were just wetting ourselves laughing. sorry you had to be there!
Anyone else had similar experiences?

Mum and Dad went to Egypt a few years back.

Sat round the pool, English one side (probably nearer to the bar , and a lot of Germans on the other.

Dambusters music comes on over the sound system, parents watch in amazement as some of the German kids run round making plane noises with their arms out like wings - you know what I mean.

Cue Dad having to get up and go inside as he was pissing himself.
