Just sounds that you were not that compatible in the first place - ie if that's what you 'really' think

Not just working class - my 'posh' bint at Uni started seeing her Mechanic ex...

Not good news though, keep your chin up...

You didn't spend too much time with your car - at least if you give it petrol and look after Mr Battery it is faithful!

Know how you feel. My Ex sodded off with some half baked yokel then sneaked back and stripped the flat of its content! Even had the cheek to phone me up and say 'I dont love you anymore and have left you' THREE days later.
Still last laugh is on me. She now has 3 kids and the last bloke kicked her out and she had to grovel her way back. Oh how I laughed!! Stupid fg bh.

Added: Still I did upset her by saying she must be a cheap lay for £2. Why? Cos thats how much a cheap drink costs.

Sounds like you are pretty angry, and i guess rightly so if you've been cheated on, but not all 'working class English women' are unnatractive and just after ripping people off.

Thats true I just ask myself how I have been such a mug again.

Next time I go with a girl I will make sure she is of sufficent social standing.

Just an idea, but how about "make sure she is a nice lass" and that you are not a t*at.

Social standing? Feck off snob .

Yes, I firmly believe that people are individually bad, independently of any class or group they belong to. I know this because I dated a seemingly decent, yet quite insecure, unable to communicate (and eventually not to be trusted) guy who hadn't finished his degree, but I had finished mine. He seemed nice enough. We got along well. But, and this is not to say that job status differences can't be overcome, he was rather insecure with himself and had a lot of resentment towards me. He resented me for not being totally happy with my life because I was so lucky to have the high paying job. Well, $ doesn't equal joy, and each level of prosperity/power has it's own problems. Often you are just trading up to new (but not better or easier) problems. He wanted me to be emotionally supportive, but when I talked about my problems, I was the whiner because I was so lucky.

The other guy was an over-confident liar and con artist. He was more educated than I and didn't seem to think I was good enough for the whole truth.

They were both vapid, low quality life forms, despite any differences of socio-economic status.

So there you have it: Bad people at different socio-economic backgrounds.

Don't get discouraged. Whenever I think "people are no damn good" because of a relationship, I try (hard as it is) to remind myself of the guys I know who are my friends, who would not treat me that way. Even if they are only family members, it helps you to realize that there are still decent people and you just had the misfortune of running into an asshole. I'm sorry this person cheated on you. It's a terrible and cowardly thing to do.

Posh girls are probably no better or worse. I can understand your hurt, but the supposition that it's because shes working class is just plain daft!

Anyway, playing away is poor form, no matter what your background, get rid, plenty of nice girls about for a single bloke.

Onwards.

Maybe I am not in quite the right frame of mind to be posting this now having just discovered my other half cheating on me.

Whats is it with Working class English Women for a start most of them are not very attractive and all they seem to be intrested in is ripping of nice gents like myself whilst getting pissed and shagging factory workers.

Hope this does not sound bitchy !

I'm a factory worker and I'll see you in the car park you bitchy git

Maybe if you weren't so uptight about perceived social position you'd stand a chance of holding onto someone.

And what's wrong with getting pissed. I'm pissed now...and I don't like your tone, young man!

p.s. I'm not shagging your bird.

she's mine

Some cutting remarks, social background has nothing to do with it, neither the fact she is a woman matter either, men do it just as much as women I am sure.

Where does class come into this? My family are working class, and certainly have working class roots as well. Mum was 18 when she met her first boyfriend, who she then married five years later, and five years later had me, then two years later, my sister, and both parents are still married now. They have both been totally faithful to each other, and are both very nice people, and I couldn't wish for better parents.
