To some extent, the decline in mass employment industry, a trend started apace following the brief, post-war pheonix phase and culminating with the last hurrah of union warfare in the 1980s, has variously displaced the essential, historic order of British societal being.

Namely and as has been pointed out many, many times before, the wholescale erosion of the working class, apprentice culture, has spawned a malingering strata of taskless thugs.

It's effect can be felt with depressing regularity across the nation in ways trivial and serious but collectively indicative of the malaise.

No great shakes but just in the last half hour, I've had reason to visit the local breakfast emporium for two slithers of hog on toast and although daily occurrences in themselves, the bearing and conduct of the characters just encountered suddenly triggered a cogniscent spark and I tripped myself ino thinking 'bloody hell - what a shower!'

As I approached the gateway to glutinous glee, a chap of entirely normal presentation was simultaneously heading my way out: being cursed by basic decency and a propensity to wield an evil craft once practiced by the Pendle witches called manners I stood aside and, noting the fellow to be rather laden with produce, opened the door, nodded and uttered the abusive threat, "morning, Guv, there you go," to which his response was a complete blanking.

The ignorant pig's ignoble fat ear was passing me in this tiniest of doorways so I calmly remarked that it had been my undiluted honour to salute his majestic, early morning prescence with such a humble act of servile rectitude.

With no response forthcoming, I pronounced him "peasant!" and moved inside.

Alas, the woeful tears of national demise were unstemmable for no more than a few seconds as one of the new strain of mutant length, chavular teenage male and de riguer 'crack b1tch' (to coin the vernacular) shuffled their miserable, post-shell suited stenches along.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that this salivating tower of barely ex-pubescent, tediously tattooed, chronically bejewelled ignorance was a walking testament to the benefits of a state policy of death for profound stupidity.

To hear to this ape grunt his monosyllabic fits of saliva-projecting cretinology was no less depressing to me than I suspect the news of the loss at Islandwhana to Victorians taking tea and choking with horror at their newspapers' dire reports.

Equally horrifying, was the conduct of the female in this snotulific brace. Thick? Thick? Please - the government should be using these wastrals for scarecrow duties - this perfect expression of vacuity was surely the definitive personification of tragic, mental stultification, a pure condition untrammelled by any influence beyond the brain sapping acquisition of Lambert & Butler.

I felt the very essence of the Neanderthal: these subhumans are the curse of our epoch and represent en masse - as they are - a more profound danger to our rotten condition than any boatload of work hungry Poles or Croatians.

In fact - as has been said before - I think it may be time to consider jettisoning this vermin in favour of those who wish to embrace the general ethos of discipline, graft and a broad ranging respect for civility per se.

Typified by two imbeciles firing off an air rifle at passers by in Cheltenham (yesterday?) - the scale of this problem is overwhelming and the deportations should begin post haste.

...and breathe! :hehe:

They probably had no respect for you as they could see you wasn't a full english breakfast kind of guy.
Deserves a snub in my book.

An excellent piece Derestrictor! In my profession, one encounters such beings on a daily basis, which is why when I am off-duty I move heaven and earth to avoid them.

Tip: live in Monaco. I've just got back and I can respectfully report it is marvellous. There is no scum whatsoever as they can't afford it. The population of 30,000 is policed by a force 500 Officers, one BiB for every 60 residients. It is even against the law to be bare-chested in public except at the beach!

We spent our days looking at the stunninbg Oceanographic museum, admiring the royal car colection (fantastic!) and drinking cocktails at the Cafe-de-Paris admiring the numerous Ferraris, Lambos, several Maybachs, Astons etc... A quite simply spiffing, entirely chav-free couple of days had.

Oh yes. There are CCTV cameras covering just about every square inch of public space in Monaco. I'm told the burglary rate is virtually nil. The riche walk around with their Rolexes, Patek Phillippes, diamonds etc.. on display as muggings do not happen.

Incidentally, there are no gatsoes either!

Harsh - but fair. (Actually, I do like the concept of a traditional approach to breakfast fayre before the rigours of the day begin but today - as is so often the case - there was nobody standing idle for table duty.)

I blame Mrs T.

She told us there was no such thing as society - and then promptly set about making sure her comment was accurate.

I need to go to Monaco once or twice a year on business & although it's a tiny place with actually not an awful lot to do, I always look forward to it for precisely the reasons stated.

Chavs are simply not welcome & chavistic behaviour is banned. The police are very discrete but omni present & the whole place is under 24 hr CCTV surveillance. You feel safe. You know that some scumbag isn't going to spit on the pavement, or empty the contents of his stomach in a shop doorway as you walk past.

Yobbish behaviour is not tolerated at any level & any attempts to import same from Blighty will see one invited to check out the interior decor of the cells for a night or two. Throwing litter will see a whacking great fine & don't even think about taking your top off to reveal a rather ugly, bloated, white-skinned, tattoed, bare chest (same goes for the blokes ).

& yet.......... you can still drink/party til 6 in the morning & have a great night. You just have to retain a degree of control, be sensible, responsible for your own actions & show respect (sorry to use the Blair over-egged word here) to others (noise control etc).

It's not just because of the low taxes that people want to make Monte Carlo their home/base (they could choose the Isle of Man !). It's also because of the air of civility that fills the place (the sunshine helps too ).

Not really that complicated, is it ?

I share your despair. Such people, who are surely a disgrace to anything resembling humanity, are simply too well looked after.

Risk sounding like a Tory here but Politians often think they change society whilst in real life Society/societies will go what ever way it wants to look at the Cultural Revolution in China and 5 year plans of Stalin both those countries are now Capitalist ones.

The problem with Britian is we have to many good people emigrating and not enough entreprenuers coming into Britian.

Hope she was not surprised ?

The problem with Britain, like was mentioned in another thread recently, there are too many Boys being brought up by just the woman in a family, the balance is not there and boys do not know how to behave like men, this is by no means a slant at one parent families and ime sorry to generalise but i see it all the time,,boys do not know how to act like proper men.

ZR1cliff - whilst I would love to say that my wealthy family have a floating gin palace in the harbour, alas this is not so. We went for a short break. Flights - £100 return from LGW. We stayed at Hotel Columbus (part owned by David Coulthard) not the best hotel but very nice indeed at a rather reasonable £140 per night B&B. Eating out is not overly expensive. Not cheap, but everything is of a good standard. There are no hot-dog stands, kebab shops etc...

So true, but its not what the very liberal left wing propaganda on TV and other media would like us to believe; in every 'child cruelty' donation ad, they always mention botht he father and mother making the kid's life hell, whereas, back in reality, its mommy's equally thick drugged up boyfriend who has no love for his 'bit 'o' stuff's' offspring whatsoever.
problem is, all the people in power, including some older teachers, still genuinelly believe we're still in the 'free love/free spirit' 60s mentality, and don't instill any kind of even basic moral code into kids, as they dillusionally think that this will stifle their 'free spirit' Pathetic!

Sounds good,a far cry from liquid on a saturday night.
