A Cambridge based Medical Reseach and Development company Huntington Life Sciences has been forced to delay it floatation on one of the American Stock Markets (Think it is either NYSE or Nasdaq)

This sort of Terrorism can not be acceptable in 21st Century.

True. Of course, that same terrorism has already forced the company to delist from the London Stock Exchange, caused all its banks to withdraw funding, and made any City institution unwilling to advise them.

Yet no arrests . . .

Not to mention that farm breeding guinea pigs recently. A terror campaign resulting in the grandmother's body being stolen from a cemetary. Now the farmer has finally given in, ceasing to breed (well looked after) guinea pigs, and for all anyone knows may breed (badly looked after) battery hens instead!

And the body still hasn't been returned. Tw@ts.

The organisation that has been perpetrating most of these acts is SHAC. (Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty ).

You can find out more about the tactics they employ Here

Most of the things they have done are fairly petty.
Throwing paint, distributing leaflets saying that company employeees are paedophiles, making lots of noise in the middle of the night, spamming and make annoying phone calls. So if anyone was arrested for committing any one of these acts, any sentence they receive is unlikely to be no more than a slap on the wrist.
However it is their dogged persistence in repeating these acts which eventually grinds people down. Despicable though these people are, their tactics are well considered and are proving to be pretty effective
In order to get any serious sentencing Plod have the unenviable task of trying to prove an offence of conspiracy. And this has to be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

One irony of this, or a fact that they conveniently ignore, is that animals bred for research are treated exceptionally well.
The very nature of the work means that labs simply will not accept animals with any sign of stress, ill health or distress. Consistency is vital, and external causes for any results must be minimized.
Consequently supplying farms have to provide healthy and content animals, and raise them accordingly.
As has been mentioned above, switching to a less rigorously controlled market will inevitably lead to an increase in suffering.
