Just wondering really.

In my relatively short life, I've seen a few wars (Falklands / Gulf etc...), Terrorism (IRA / AL.Q), Natural disasters (Tsunami / Katrina) and things like that.

There are other threats looming. I.E: Bird Flu and dare I say, a Fuel Protest.

Partly due to living in the UK, the above things have never really caused me too much trouble, as is the case for the majority of PH'ers, I would think.

But, :scratchchin: I wonder how bad could things really get, here in the UK.

Is it out of the realms of possibility that we, aswell as other parts of the world could end up being in a real 'plague' like situation with bird flu? Are we prepared for this threat, or is there no threat at all?

Are we really prepared for terrorism on a scale never witnessed before, I mean 9/11 but bigger, in many different situations/locations?

Are we miscalculating oil supplies and on the verge of drying our most treasured commodity for good?

Are scientists miscalculating incoming rocks and meteors from space. That would shake things up a bit.

This may sound a bit of a morbid post.

Are we heading for the Real Doomsday?

Its not really half glass thinking, I'm not like that. I'm optimistic that I'll live a long, happy life.

I just wonder........

Yeah, my point really.

Are we immune to this suffering or just in waiting?

Interesting post actually.........

How glad should we be that we are alive and kicking today..I mean in this era? I for one, do not wanna be around in 100 years time. I agree, almost everything is either falling apart or running out...Quite scary really.

Erm well the civil service have planned for everything but the plans are crap and won't work because the people who did the planning were and are total tossers.

Yes its definately going to get really bad really soon cos the UK is under the misaprehension that its regarded by the rest of the world as important.

There is more oil in the tar sands of Canada than has yet been extracted from the planet.

Once house prices fall a bit more Blair is finished and so is New Labia

We havent really seen terror in the UK yet.

If you were a terrorist and you wanted to cause maximum death, destruction and well terror what would you do?

Personally I'd go for a gas/chemical attack in the tube. Have an operative in every station.

I think he means they drink too much cider, get buggered, wake up with a sore behind, and claim they were abducted by aliens that "did unatural things to I"

On a serious note World War 3 is most likely going to happen between America and China and like all wars it'll be over natural resources and turf.

It'll be a big one, but lucky for us unlike the last 2 it'll be on the other side of the world.
