Buying Electrical Appliances Online

[Taxi 4 Hutton]

I'm looking to buy a new washing machine, but before I go trudging around the usual suspect stores, I wondered if you had any ideas of decent online sites to buy from.

I always find this one has excellent service and prices:

This site will lead you to where you need to be. I've found this useful for several household purchases over the last couple of years. Biggest item was a DVD HDD recorder.

Recentyl bought a fridge freezer from here

£100 cheaper than comet et al and you get 6 months interest free credit (which Comet won't do on a lot of items).

Have you tried www.clearancecomet.co.uk ? This is where they shift all the shop-display models and stuff that's been returned unused. We got a very very good Bosch washing machine for about £150 - the only thing wrong with it was that it didn't come in a box; still had all the guarantees!

John Lewis www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/ProductType.aspx?ARA=Electrical&CAT=Washing+Machines&SCT=Washing+Machines&PRT=+Washing+Machines+&Page=1&Order=0

May not be the cheapest, but they do give a free 3 year warranty and excellent customer service.

If you know which machine you want, try...

Bought a washer/dryer a few years ago online and saved £millions.....phew.

Can't remember the supplier, but I checked a few manufacturers' websites, narrowed the choice down, then googled the machines....

One supplier was way ahead of the rest on price. I'll be back if I can locate their name.

Edited to say.....try this site.....
