Help with TV advert

Please help me from going mad :D

I'm sure there was an advert on TV in the 80s that had the line 'New trainers vince?' in it but can't for the life of me remember what it was for. I've asked friends and family and they think I've made it up!!!!

Anyone else remember it and can put me out of my misery? I've not been able to find an answer since about 1994 and it's bugged me since then. Since I bought some new shoes at the weekend, it popped back into my head and is annoying me again!!!

I was thinking that earlier too, but have no idea why More investigation down that path I think

mybrainhurts, thanks for that For the last 11 years I've been in a state the same as your id Hopefully mr_tony has put me on the right path....let's hope there is some sad hoffmeister fan out there who has transcribed or stored the adverts
