Tonights totally unbeliveable Spooks
Discussion
Do not want to give the script away but it is something like group of extreme far right racist thugs plan to take over Britian privatise the NHS, deport blacks/Asains, gays and Trade Unionists.
Starting by blockading Fuel Refinarys so the mass riot then a new leader called James emerges overs throws the Royal Family and makes himself King.

Yep send them somewhere nice, that'll learn 'em
As for tonights episode, a thinly disguised version of a half hearted attempt to try and explore some of the ideas and viewpoints around the subject, they were quite blatant though, it should be more subtle, it was crude and half hearted, even a bit preachy, very poor all the same.
The bad guys were a mix of those japanese shining path nutters, environazi's, heavy matrix influence and a good old dollop of traditional islamic terrorism all mixed up into one very hard to swallow plot. Next week looks like a Hitler clone but in Britain
poor Hitler, he dicriminated against the Muslims by only killing Jews so its ok to hate him, wont get any complaints if they make him the bad guy
Spooks used to be almost believeable like when that younger girl was tortued and killed in that vat of boiling fat, that was unexpected and made it quite interesting because you didn't know how it would turn out. This new garbage when you KNOW mr hero will turn around and stay with the damsel in distress only to miraculously disarm the bomb with a couple of seconds left
When the old scriptwriters wanted a pay rise they should have given it to them, not given it to some brainless intern, I could come up with a better script than that. It would probably offend someone though, but frankly if you haven't offended anyone then you just aren't doing your job, as an 'artist' you should be expanding and exploring new ideas and viewpoints now pandering to limp wristed, inoffensive stereotyping, leave that to sesame st.I didn't watch it last night as a concious decision, but so many people said it was good, I decided to watch. How wrong could they have been?
It was like Dr. Who without freaky monsters. At least the Dr. Who plots require/exercise some imagination.
I couldn't help but think of Martine McWhatever as a Billie Piper stand in.
This really is recycled budget bo!!ocks. I guess so many people have been complaining about repeats, that they now take old programs, sets, and scripts; change a few props, costumes and words; and call it a new program.
Bad show.
