[big]Inventor turns dead cats into diesel [/big]

A German inventor says he's found a way to make cheap diesel fuel out of dead cats.

Dr Christian Koch, 55, from Kleinhartmannsdorf, said his method uses old tyres, weeds and animal cadavers.

They are heated up to 300 Celsius to filter out hydrocarbon which is then turned into diesel by a catalytic converter.

He said the resulting "high quality bio-diesel" costs just 15 pence per litre.

Koch said the cadaver of a fully grown cat can produce 2.5 litres of fuel - meaning around 20 cats are needed for a full tank.

He said: "I tank my car with my own diesel mixture and have driven it for 105,000 miles without any problems."

Annelise Krauss of the Dresden Animal Protection Association blasted Koch's new diesel though, saying: "This is as bad as experimenting on animals."

I shoved our cat into the fuel nozzle once. The car purred quite nicely.

Total bollox.

Absolute pile of pants, now making fuel out of the dregs from liposuction would be a good idea. In fact totally plausible.

What we need is a government clamp down on obesity, a big tanker drives around with snipers with net guns catching fat people and then sucking out their lipids. These are then heated to 100deg C to drive off the moisture, the fat is then preheated by the exhaust manifold and used as a straight fuel for the truck (green as you like, eh?). The remainder being put into a large bowser ready for reduction and chemical cracking into a viable motor fuel.

Also, the squad could have another crack unit in a trailer who would catch chavs, relieve them of their nasty synthetic clothes, these would be partially combusted and the resulting smoke collected for condensation and purification. Due to the nature of the products of "pyrolysis" there would be compounds suitable for the production of a high quality octane booster, suitable for our fat-people derived petrol.

By the very nature of them, they only run on kittens.

I'll guess they'll have to rename that book to 102 uses for a dead cat

Those clever Germans, always thinking of new ways of using dead bodies.

Serious head on now,if we want to solve two problems in one go it would make sense to turn our waste in to fuel even if it meant mixing poor old felix up with the lot,the only problem being that if it became a success it wouldnt stay 15p a litre for long by the time an exhorbitant rate of tax was added
