yes indeed, have the all is dream album, which is cracking.

not many people have heard of M/R, and its quite difficult to "get into", due to its complexity, but its deffers worth making the effort to give them a listen..

Yup, bloody amazing - first album I bought was "All Is Dream". Took me a while, but when I did "get" it - WOW

Also got "Deserters Songs" and "See You On The Other Side"

They are fantastic. If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. Also check out Sigur Ros.

Bugger.

I had the opportunity to see them live last year, but didn't bother as I'm kinda of the opinion that their music is not really the stuff you listen to live...

Guess I'm talking shyte then?

Very much so I'm afraid, the show is amazing. They go all out on lights and stuff and are amazing to watch.

Mercury rev - Not to be listened to when feeling suceptable to depression

I liked that track 'The Dark is Rising'. Sometimes people hear different things in songs but for me it makes me think of those times in your life when you sit back and think 'bloody hell, I've really stuffed things up haven't I?'

I don't agree to be honest. They have very varied songs. If you want to avoid depression, avoid Coldplay at all costs, even if you are the happiest person in the world.

Or any of the many, many many other bands that sound exactly like them. "Oh look I can play my guitar and sing in a tuneful and hooky yet vaguely whistfull and dispassionate way, can I have a record contract please??" I suppose it's not Coldplays fault really though, just all the record companies trying to create the next Coldplay via the 'infinite number of monkeys' principle.
