The Lib Dem conference is funny.

The party leadership have come up with a few propsals to try and move the Lib Dems from the left toward the centre ground, but they are being rejected by the sandal wearing Lentilists, their core supporters at the conference.

Not withstanding that I cant see the Lib Dems ever getting into power (ye Gods I hope not), had to laugh at the grandiously titled "Secretary General" (as opposed to "Witchfinder General" ?) Billy Hayes advising that such a sell off would lead to a plummeting level of service.

Plummeting level of service ? Where else is there to plummet to, the Earths core ? Their service levels are lower than a snakes scrotum FFS !!

The sooner the Union that masquerades as the Royal Mail is sold off & the cold bitter light of competition is allowed to illuminate every & all of its various orifices, the better. Hopefully, they will be a little more reluctant to strike just before Christmas or when one of their "comrades" is sacked for the merest offence of opening up & removing the monetary contents of Birthday &/or Xmas cards.

Restrictive work practices such as those employed in the Royal Mail, Rail industry have no place in the 21st Century IMHO.
