If a yogi told you to imagine the sound of one hand clapping, would you enter a state of enlightened consciousness and see it clearly, or imagine some poor guy with only one arm trying to clap?

I would imagine Bart Simpson doing it, as happened in one of the Simpsons episodes.

Thats cheating. You're only replayng a memory. Thus you are not clever or enlightened at all

I'd imagine the sound of some magnificent female using one hand to give me a good spanking.

Before you can undestand a man, you must walk a mile in his shoes.

Of course, if you still don't see eye to eye then at least your a mile away and you have his shoes

The moves air molecules which are interpreted as sound by the brain via the ears (human or animal), if nothing is around to hear it then obviously it wont make a sound.

One hand clapping? thats a trick question then isn't it, you need two hands to clap properly, you can of course attempt to clap using one hand but it will be a quieter sound and you will look stupid(er).

If you want enlightenment take the easy route and use drugs

I can make a clapping noise with one hand, I slap my fingers against my palm so i wouldnt need to imagine it
