Walking from the car park to the office this morning there were 2 parrots flying overhead! Now you might think I have finally lost all grip on reality, but I took a photo of one of them sitting in a tree just to prove I am not bonkers.
BTW I used to work in Brussels and there was a whole flock of parrots living in Woluwe St. Lambert.

Any of you seen parrots flying wild in the UK?

That's where I live, and the parrots seem to live in the trees and fields at the end of my street (near the windmill?).
I've been here for 4 years and never noticed them until my parents visited and pointed them out! Nice green ones, wonder what they do in the winter?

I used to live in the flats (can't remember the name) but I could see the windmill about 200 yards away to the right!
I used to work for Merck up near the Cora supermarket.

You get one thread about parrots, and then everyone else starts copying it... parrot fashion...

I'm very close to there, just the other side of the field with the windmill. Your daily commute must have been an easy one, Cora's not far I have to do the whole length of the Bvd de la Woluwe towards the airport, but it's ok if I take the 'vette like today

That's my usual excuse for taking the 'vette out on a Sunday afternoon. They haven't got a Z06 yet - so I have to keep going back to check

I saw three at Mosport in Canada a couple of weeks ago, apparently they won't be releasing the Z06 to the public until December.......just in time for Santa to wrap mine

They all originate from escapees.

Thousands of the noisy buggers around here. Heard several stories as to where they originated from, but my favourite is that they were released after the filming of African Queen at Shepperton Studios.

More here though

There is a house just off the Kings Road where the front has a great big net over it and parrots fly in and out of the house lie some giant public aviary.
