Paris - Hotels and trains
Discussion
Hi, im in france next week and im looking to spend a few days in paris.
Im looking to get a train from Vire to Paris (montparnasse)
Does any one have the heads up on
a) best place to book train and hotel package.
b) or the best way to get train and hotel separate cheaper.
and
c) Im planning on staying in montparnase as its near the station. does that sound reasonable for access to everything else. we dont mind walking around and using the metro ( too tight for cabs)
cheers

Hi Graham,
www.sncf.com for trains etc
Montparnasse has loads of metros around it and is well placed to see stuff otherwise. You can't go wrong. There is a nice resto at the top of the tower
cheers

Montparnasse isn't exactly the heart of Paris - head north of the river for that, but as pointed out its very well served by Metro and RER (rapid Metro).
In the past I've looked at American websites for cheap hotels - seems they get much better prices then us, even after paying for the exchange rate
