6310i?
People are going to grasp the concept of it being a portable computer at some point though and its going to change everything...
Best phone in the business. I have two in constant use and they are untouchable. 17 day standby time for crying out loud. I've been on a 10 day holiday with friends going nuts over forgeting their chargers! I've no-idea where my charger is as the car zaps it full each time!

I have one as my company mobile but dont like it I prefer my 3100. Smaller, lighter, better reception etc
I just want a phone to make and receive calls and text messages. i could have gone for a less specced phone but those nokia's for somne reason are bigger
6310i jepp agreed.
Nokia phones went downhill for a while but this latest one has seen life and it is still 100% reliable, battery life is outstanding bla bla bla.
On the downside because the carkits are no longer available we are changing to something far inferior.
At least next car has a built in SIM card reader and GSM phone. So I can keep the 6310i for a bit longer. Which brings me to another gripe.......
Thread hijack, sorry.
OI! O2. If you don't change your policy regarding duplicate SIM cards, i.e. you won't do them, you are going to lose out. We WILL go to other network providers, and YOU O2 can feck right orf.

Only marred by being incredibly fragile (went through 4 of them I think, the last one I ended up rebuilding with spares off eBay a couple of times).
Finally got rid & tried to find something similar. Nearest I could find was the 6610i. Ok it has a camera and stuff I don't need, but otherwise its a remarkably similar piece of kit. Seems a fair bit tougher, too.

Just ordered this:
www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/o2/contract-mobile-phones/nokia-3120.php/PNEWO231200004
Free phone - nice basic nokia with no frills, and free line rental for 12 months. Should end up saving me some money as I won't need to use my normal phone for daytime calls!
If anyone wants one, don't forget to ask me to refer you
I normally use an orange SPV C500 but very rarely use any of the fancy features - the main one I find useful is being able to synchronise with my Outlook address book.

My company specialise in mobile applications for business and we're seeing big growth in that area. It will filter into the home market soon enough.

Nokia have done a few "just a phone" type modern phones....(you know, the sort you'd buy your mum)...is it a 3100 I think!?
3100 and 3120 - I've got a 3120 and it's bloody brilliant - does calls and texts nicely, battery lasts for 1-2 weeks with moderate use, comfortable size to use yet small enough to fit easily in a pocket. Best phone since the 6210 IMHO.

My 6310i was replaced with this aweful 6820 with a flip out qwerty keyboard, a load of trash! It's playing up again, apparently the company have given up with the unreliable 6820 and moved onto 6230i, are they any good?
Currently running a 6230i. Cant complain. As an upgrade from a 6100 it does everything I can want and the battery looks to be good for 5 or so days. Only thing is theres not much of a quality feel to the keypad but no probs over the 1st month or so of ownership.

Yes.
OI NOKIA, START MAKING THE 6310i AGAIN (Currently with the so called replacement 6230 which is shite and has 1/3 the battery life of my old 6310i (1.5 to 2.0 days with light use FFS))
Oh, we want bigger buttons than the current large screen tiny keypad modern mobile shite as well.
DAZ
PS - A lot of cars out there with factory carkits that need 6310i, why not carry on making them?

Thats what I have but they dont make it anymore, just bought a replacement off e-bay for £35 including P&P. A certain wharehouse that sells phones wanted £50 just to fit a new screen.
Anyway do a lot more basic phones like the 1100, 1101 & 1110
