Yes after years of media promoting the 'ladette' culture, and the idea that drunkeness and violence amongst young women is cool and is about girls doing it better than the boys, whereas it is to be utterly condemed (rightly) in the case of young men here are the stats.....

According to a recent study of 1000 young people.

59% of women had gotten into an argument whilst drunk, compared to just 45% of men.

27% of women had been cautioned or arrested by the police whilst drunk compared to 16% of men.

19% of women had been injured whilst drunk compared to 14% of men.

And 36% of young women had been attacked after drinking too much.

Fantastic, young British women are drunker, more violent and less law abiding that even the famously drunken young British men. Marvellous. What a triumph.

After a particularly fruitless arguement with a guardian reader she closed with

"I can do anything you can do"

So I took my shirt off and ran round the room and responded with

"Go on then"

The current obsession with equality has led us too a dark place. Not only with the Chav girls aping the manners of their male counterparts but with career women postponing child birth often until it is too late, or not even trying. A woman cannot do all a man can do, but neither can a man do what a woman can. Separate but equal, not turning women into men.

Why women would wish to partake of the less pleasing aspects of being a man, I know of not.

What next, smelling their own farts ? Is nothing sacred ?

Aren't they smoking far more as well? I'm sure more women smoke than men, but maybe thats because I spend more time looking at women

I read just recently that most of the 'date rapes' that are claimed are not in fact drugged, just blind drunk

The report also revealed that 34 per cent of young women have had unplanned or unprotected sex after drinking too much.

Did the report list their phone numbers?

Cool? It's appalling IMO.

Why are these young women so out of touch with femininity and seemingly unable to conduct themselves in what could be deemed a ladylike manner? I can't see the attraction at all in behaving like a man. What an earth are they trying to prove?

I despair I really do.

Because, unfortunately, many women mistake equality (i.e. having the same rights and having the opportunity and getting paid the same money for doing the same job as a man) as having to BEHAVE like a man. And unfortunately, we now live in an age where being lady like and having a man open a door for a woman, give up his seat, etc (i.e. manners) are seen as treating women in a demeaning way.

I think the sufferagettes would be turning in their graves if they saw how many women of today behave.
