Start up an airline? As long as you've a note from your mum!
Discussion
Apologies if this has been covered before.
Just watched a thing on telly about a young chap (c.19yrs) who is starting up his own airline.
This guy has quit further education as most would know it, already built and sold a sucessful business, got his PPL and presumably got a commercial endorsement and is basically setting up a light aircraft shuttle service with him and his mates as pilots.
My first reaction on watching this was:"You spawny get!"
Second reaction was:"I used to dream about being a pilot, why the bloody hell didn't I do that?"
Interested in the venture, I've had a trawl through a few aviation forums and for every positive post there is a staggering amount of bitter slagging and the amount this chap is getting is quite disturbing, I'd like to think that if someone on here posted their plans for starting up a new automotive venture they would receive encouragement and any criticism would be constructive.
Regardless of whether or not you'd get into a plane with someone who doesn't shave yet, you've got to admire the lad's balls just for having a go at following his dream, shame not everyone feels the same way.

Good old British poppy head syndrome I'm afraid, those who haven't got the balls to try resent those who have and do.
Good luck to him.
