Anybody remember the book Bottersnikes and Gumbles from the late 70's about funny little creatures that I think lived on a rubbish tip or something.My missus thinks I'm mad and making it up!

Oh well I can now claim that I'm still mad/sad /stupid but not quite so much as it was thought yesterday.( and that there are others just like me......you poor souls )

Yeees!

We shall go mad together.

I also invented Meringues, small white feshy and stupid herbivores on which the unpleasant Bottersnikes preyed. They had a (remarkably) finger-like hook on top which they used to swing from branch to branch - but would frequently miss and fall 'splat' to the ground for the waiting Bottersnikes.
