I must have been living under a rock to have missed this one. A couple of weeks ago, I was loafing about the house and flicking mindlessly through the channels on the telly, when I came across a CGI kids animated series. I watched it idly for a few minutes, then suddenly realised I was enjoying it. I also began to recognise characters. Blimey! It was a re-make of Captain Scarlet!

What a great little show! The storylines and action are about as adult as you can imagine for a kids programme. The quality of the CGI is fantastic.

If you like this kind of thing, or are a Captain Scarlet fan, then I think it's being shown at 11am every Saturday.

And soon, just maybe, if we're lucky, Hollywood can make as big a fk-up of Captain Scarlet as they did of Thunderbirds...

Computer Generated Imagery. Unless you're being ironic, I think you've been living under a rock too. Or are drunk

A milestone in Cinema. I have it on DVD.

Shame it was a Golden Turkey award winner as a plot/story/set of characters/Anime.

Programme was discussed on radio 4 a few months ago. I was rather surprised by the cost of making it:

"The first season of 'Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet' cost £25 Million for twenty-six episodes"

Only see a couple of episodes. I think the better one is the CGI series of Starship Troopers

Abuse aside, what do you think about the new series of Captain Scarlet?
