Been trawling round trying to find a new skisuit for next season. I like onepiece suits, but after looking at this site, I might think again.

My mates and I call them fagbags. It's good to see we are not alone in finding these creations both hilarious and horrific.

Cheers chim girl

Ok, what practical reasons are there for wearing a two piece then? IMHO they make women look like clumpy sacks of spuds, and blokes like some bunch of skater clones.

Simple, you don't look silly.

oh, and people don't point and laugh at you when you're not looking...

You will look like a gaper/dentist in a one piece suit.

Ah, OK it's just a fashion thing then. No practical reason at all. I'll live with being laughed at if it keeps the snow out of my clothing.

okay, okay, sensible reasons..

Going to the toilet can't be easy if you're wearing one of those things. Probably trickier for a girl, granted..

If it gets hot I can take off my jacket and ski in a fleece.

Problems with fagbags:

You can't remove the jacket and put it in your rucksack on a warm day

lavatory issues

you look a tit in the bar with the top half tied around your waist

Prince Chuck wears one

lots of dodgy 50 year old Frogs wear them

Chim girl....yes That was a few seasons ago glad it made you laugh

Ok cheers guys.
I see your point about the loo thing Chim girl, never ocurred to me before that one. I don't have a problem myself.
The first time I went, I bought a two piece, and frankly it was a pain in the arse. forever pulling the trousers up, and the jacket down, or opening it to try and get snow out after a spill. I've still got it somewhere. I know what you mean about looking a tit in the bar as well, but then I'm really not into posing, or watching what others are wearing. Generally speaking, I go on a skiing holiday to ski with friends, family and enjoy myself.
I've gotta say though, the bunches of similarly clad skater clones look a bit stupid to me as well.

Each to their own I suppose?

If you're happy in your skisuit then don't let anyone stand in your way. People like you keep people like me entertained.

I prefer separate trousers and jacket. As mentioned you can take the jacket off when you get hot. Hardly any snowboarders wear one piece suits anyway...

you dont get snow inside your clothes all decent jackets have a powder skirt inside them that stops snow sliding between you/your jacket when you wipe out and slide along the snow.

As already pointed out, you WILL look a tool in a one piece suit. One of my mates had one a few years ago and we are STILL taking the p1ss out of him even today!!!!

Wearing Salopets (trousers with built in braces) cure the trouser falling down problem!

Got it in Borovets Bulgaria on my first skiing trip. Although you can't tell from that picture, I was still p****d. I bought it on a drunken whim, and was forced to wear it all the following day. Surprisingly, I got nothing but good comments about it all day, especially from kids!
IIRC (and I doubt it) it was priced at about £30, and we knocked 'em down to a tenner.
Still got it, just never got drunk enough to wear it again With a large vodka at 30pence for a large shot over there, it will probably have to be in January.
