A friend of mine recently received her £250 Child Trust Fund voucher from the Inland Revenue, which came with lots of information about Bounty Family Investments. I must say that it appears to really push 'Bounty' as the only option in terms of where to put the £250, even though there is little detailed information RE interest rates, small print etc etc.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any better options for setting up a Child Trust Find, than using 'Bounty'?

Bounty are just one of the 70+ providers.

To save you the hassle, if you are looking for a morally acceptable scheme, its only CIS that offer one currently.

We just went with the most convenient option for us which was Nat West as I bank with them anyway.

I'm not aware of any significant pros or cons from one to another so it was just the easy option.

There are a number of alternative CTF structures, each with different costs that can make a significant difference to the final amount, particularly if you're looking to add to it annually. Have a poke around on www.fool.co.uk where this has been discussed fairly extensively.
