BTW - I've just returned from Southern Africa - having spent several months travelling round SA , Mozambique , Malawi and Zambia - it was absolutely fantastic - Next time I'd like to drive down the whole continent.

(feel free to drop me a PM if you need any info/tips on the above countries )

IMPORTANT : for Mozambique - dont EVER hand your driving license or passport or visa to a policeman when asked at a checkpoint - keep the window shut and hold it up to the glass so he can see it. Any documents handed over will require many $$$$ in bribes to get handed back - they are VERY corrupt ! (didnt happen to me but I met others who had this problem )
