After clicking about on the BBC site catching up with the days news, I realised I'm getting increasingly fed up with the editorialising that gets forced down your throat on virtually every news site I've ever been to. Not even the BBC is above this any more it seems, maybe I'm naive and it never was.

Where can I go to get un-biased reporting of UK and world events without some Lentilist arsemunch seasoning the writing with his/her opinions?

Not even the BBC?, why they are one the worst offenders of all.

Why not just get an RSS feed from Reuters, or something similar!

I read the Economist to get my "serious" news - okay, they have a bias in their writing, but they make it well known and it doesn't detract from what is a superb magazine.

Guardian's about the only one still worth reading, as far as I can work out. Again, there's a bias, but it's well known and obvious.

Try the FT. Nearest thing to unbiased news I've seen. And no mention of "evil speeders"

Yep seconded. A relative writes for them.

The mainstream press is next to useless for anything apart from ego massaging or character assinations. Local press is even worse.

Al-Jazeera for Middle East affairs.

Most people accuse them of bias but they're probably going on the stereotype rather than having actually read their news items.

Case in point, 2 weeks ago the yanks dropped a 500Lb JDAM on a few houses that were supposedly an insurgent strong hold. Wrong. It was just some civilians, ordinary families. CNN, Fox and the BBC all reported 56 civilians killed, Al-Jazeera stated 42. No dramas, just the facts as they saw it.

I listen to Radio 4, which has a bias but it's fairly easy to spot if you have an IQ above 90.

I've been wondering about trialling 'The Week'. Has anybody read it? Would you recommend it?

Did anyone catch Bill O'Reilly get totally owned by Phil Donohue ?

I would love to see O'Reilly go up against Georgie-Boy, he'd tear him apart even more so than he did the Senate.

DONAHUE: First of all, Cindy Sheehan is one tough mother and nothing you say or anyone else is gonna slow her down.

O'REILLY: That's fine. She has a right to ...

DONAHUE: You can't hurt her. She's already taken the biggest punch in the nose that a woman can take.

O'REILLY: How?!

DONAHUE: She lost a son.

O'REILLY: Oh. OK.
