Never quite worked this one out.

What's the point?

I mean, once you've had a few and fallen off, the bar's likely to see its customer base depleted by one, isn't it?

Off to test this one out (am in Madeira at the mo, enduring terrible sunshine and local vinho... :p )

Means you wont lose your position at the bar by having to take bathroom pitstops.

I've often wondered how they get the produce to the bars....perhaps rafts stacked up with bottles and packets of smoky bacon are stealthily floated across from the main bar at night? but what if they run out during a particularly busy spell at lunchtime? what do they do then? is there a tunnel under the pool that comes up behind the bar area? somebody must know! I demand the answer!

There is a special filter in the pool that extracts all the alcohol back out of the urine and pumps it straight back to the bar I think.

You've missed the whole point, you don't swim to the bar, you float up on your lilo, order a Pina Colada and then float away while a tropical rainstorm massages your skin

There was a swim up bar where we stayed in Jamaica and this American guy was there all day drinking and eventually threw up in the pool.

I've never seen folks swim so fast!

In Vegas last year I saw Swimming Pool gambling! Floating table with big plastic cards and chips. I think it was just for fun, but a great way of getting the kids hooked early!
