I've been offered Evo half price for 6 months and 10% off for life, with a free radio alarm clock calculator personal organiser that looks like one of the new tiny sliding mobiles, And another surprise free gift off my "american" credit card company.
What I want to know is has Evo changed or is it still mainly Japanese Cars with good looking Women draped over them:D
Do they still have the Evo question every month?
(They ask a young lady if she would sleep with an ugly bloke with a nice car. Most of them say yes!!).
I can always cancel it after 6 months if it's not for me.Thanks in Advance Dougie.

Evo is actually not far from this site.
Mixture of cars - a lot of porsche mind, some good interviews, m/sport features about the less obvious things.
The reviews are dedicated to the driving experience, nout about boot size, stereo wattage or how many cup holders.
Best photography i have ever seen in a monthly.
Some folk have delivery problems, I complained to the PO and it has been fine since.
Whole magazine feels upmarket compared to others, though they still do cheap and basic cars as long as they have sporting drive appeal such as KA sport.

Other motoring mags in the offer are Car, What car?,Classic and sports car and Auto Express weekly.
No Top gear though
I'm after a cerby at the moment, do TVR's feature heavily in any of these mags?

This month's evo has the Tuscan 2 convertible.

Look up their website, it has a group test of £20k drivers cars. There is a Cerbera in that.

Thanks, sounds good to me I used to get Top Gear but at the end more than half of it was adverts.

ill second that, Evos the only one that takes longer than three minutes to read. thats if you ignore the erm....pictures in the others and the journalism is spot on. theres several writers in there that are just great too.

Car is a more general motoring magazine, not necessarily performance oriented. Auto Express is akin to a motoring newspaper and is weekly.

If you want an idea of the kind of articles in Evo, loads of them are available on their website.

Did any of you guys ever buy "Zero"?

I bought the first issue, which had a Zonda on the cover - VERY high quality paper etc, and obviously aimed even further upmarket than EVO.

Never saw it again tho...

6 months half price and 10% off for life is a very poor deal, most magazines will give you 25% - 33% off the cover price if you subscribe. I wouldn't subscribe to EVO anyway, their delivery is terrible (I've just cancelled my subscription)

Agree with Rico (hello mate, LTNS), evo's the pick of the bunch.

If you want to read about current advancements in cup holder technology in the latest school run diesel estate then don't bother. If it's the sportier end of the spectrum, then I'd say it's the mag for you.

Very knowledgeable blokes with a real passion for cars. Also provide a little bit of motorsport news and some regular features on track work.

IMHO much better than Car, TG, Test Drive (mpg more important than mph? Well go and buy a bike you lentilist tr) etc etc.

Must get around to filling that subscription form in myself
