What's the name of this film?

Excellent film - if memory serves - I think it starred Sean Connery, but again my memory may not be reliable, it's at least 13 years since I saw this film. He's a journalist, it's all about international terrorism, satellites, training camps, nukes blowing up US cities etc etc. Quite appropriate in our times, but made (I think) early-mid 80's. Anyone?
