Bah, I give up. Any other TV shows you think she might have been on...? I assume we're not getting confused with the sublime Annabel Croft

Yep, a tall scary bloke in the leather jacket and shades. I remember that. He 'shot' people with an IR 'gun'. When he got a direct hit on their backpacks they were out of the game.

Like Treasure Hunt, I think it was a Chatsworth TV production. It certainly used Cornwall's "Castle Air" who provided the Agusta 109 'Interceptor' helicopter. Castle pioneered this kind of TV with Chatsworth on Treasure Hunt.

Oh crikey, while googling, I found this:

There are two shows that I really loved but which, it seems, no one else did.

The first was show called "Interceptor." It was hosted in the late 80's by Annabel Croft, the tennis star, and was sort of a Treasure Hunt clone. The main difference being that the treasure hunters were pursued by a complete lunatic dressed in a long black leather cloak, with black sunglasses, who shrieked like a ringwraith and looked like some villain from a Batman comic. This guy took the role really seriously and used to scare the contestants witless, flying around in a black helicopter and chasing them through crop fields. It was truly awful TV and was pulled before the first series ended, but, god, I loved that show.

That bring back some memories.

Interceptor was top class telly. It was Mikey the helicopter pilot I felt sorry for, having to take that guys abuse all day.

Has anyone else noticed how 80s TV stars seem to be completely ageless? If you look at Tom Selleck, David Hasselhof et al, they all look exactly the same now as they did then! Freaky...

Too right, remember the episode set in the Norfolk Broads? Interceptor got clocked right at the end for speeding by river plod?
Say no more.......

Anyway another blast from the past.

All Creatures Great and Small with Christopher Timothy up to his armpit in the nether end of a cow each week, and Robert Hardy totally overacting his socks off.

We were wondering what happened to Carol Drinkwater. From memory Chris Timothy split up with his real wife due to Carol and went a bonking. But what happened after that, never seen her in anything else. Did she vbecome Mrs Timothy or what?

Don't know about Selleck aging well. However, he was, recently, in a very good documentary where he potrayed General Dwight D. Eisenhower. He did a superb job:
