Golf. Wow! :swoon/feint: A most excellent game!! Its probably the most fun/addictive sport Ive ever played. Totally precision oriented, plenty of time to think with no pressure (at least none in the driving range :hehe:) and hit ball after ball. I amazed myself when I managed to put half a dozen consecutive balls within 5-10 metres of the flag 150 yards away :cloud9: A massive improvement on last weeks progress.

yep iv just started with all this golf malarky very sociable game and you can just go up the range and take your frustration out on a few balls however beware if you get too competive the fun is lost and you become more frustrated on the course rather than relax and enjoy the walk.

The best part of the whole game is parking in the captain's space. Good lord, I've never seen so much tweed and indignation. Worth doing every day

And if asked if you're a member, be sure to reply "No, but I'm certainly looking at one"

I started when I was 6yrs old. Played for the RAF and got down to 5. Left it for a couple of years, ok 5, picked up a club and had no idea what I was doing! Total begineer again.

Still its bloody good fun though.

Similar kinda thing for me - when I've played recently I've really wished I'd told people I had never played before.

Golf - half-decent game ruined by its bloated sense of pseudo-Masonic exclusivity.

The game itself is all right - played it a few times myself - but the silly rules and nuances revolving around the clubhouse, the chairman, the bar and so on just strike me as the result of a class-inferiority complex - got a need to be a member of a traditional Gentleman's Club but lack the necessary? Join a golf club, it's just as cliquey!

A chap hit his ball sideways yesterday, right into the side of his 'driving range booth' so naturally I yelled fore, grinned at him when he turned around (friendly grin) but he didnt see the funny side of it

WTFs wrong with cliquey? It keeps the scum out - let them hack up public courses.

Anyway TC - you wouldn't get into my old mans golf club with an attitude like that, young 'un!

They wouldn't let me play there until I was 17...bastards...

Theres a golf club that I know of that is possibly the last place in the country that has an openly racist member policy and a mens bar.

Used to adore the game now cant stand it.

Municipals and their 'members' ruined the game.

Do you know how hard it is to get Tassle loafers? It toon me 4 years to get a decent pair that were hand made and all leather. Lucky to get a Black pair but I was extra lucky, I managed to get an Oxblood pair also. Class never goes out of fashion

Glad your hitting them there balls Bob
