How a spot forms
Skin affected by Acne can sometimes produce excess sebum, however it is not just the amount of sebum but the consistency which causes the problem. Sebum produced with this condition is usually very sticky or glue like.
The outer layer of the skin becomes flaky and dry (often made worse by the use of drying agents containing alcohol or peroxide)
The flakes of skin congest the surface of the skin and fall into the already over burdened sebum duct.
The body’s defense mechanism produces puss to eject the skin cells. There is no exit for the puss as the skin is so congested at the surface.
A large hard lump will at times be felt and will stay there for prolonged periods. Sometimes if sufficient pressure is built up under the skin, it will erupt into a surface pustule.

By the way, Mrs F as a PH invigilator/graphic designer, the PH smiley is supposed to look like a Jolly Roger, which it doesn't when used black on a white ground (as it is on that DustCart pic you used yesterday)

had a boil on my back about a year ago for no reason at all.
my sister refused to touch it, and being a man i dislocated my shoulder so i could reach it and pressed really hard. nearly flippin passed out from the pain, but it exploded with a satisfying "pop" and went all over the mirror which was at least three feet away.

No, mine does the same - insists in squeezing any that I may have - included to ones that we would assume are not ready - ho yes, she'll spend literally hours trying to squeeze one (out
). If I want to squeeze one of hers - no chance (on both spots and boobies counts

Thanks for that Yertis....you've just reminded me of the time I was at the swimming pool in Reading many years ago. Some guy was in the water resting against the edge of the pool, and his girlfriend was squeezing merrily away at the vast array of spots on his back.......
