This site has 50,000 or so Members some regularly comment on the state the country is in.
After watching question time last night I wonderd if anyone would be interested in trying to make a diffrence. I dont know a great deal about how to go about all of this but i know im sick and tired of listening to the complete crap from the current partys no one is doing anything that will benifit people like us.

Let me have your views, Rich

need to find a marginal seat that has the highest amount of pistonhead members in and then get someone voted in - are there any stats that you could compare constituencies ( however u spell that ) to number of members?

So how do we legally form a political party ? the foot work would be massive and the financial aspect is very great.
So anyone interested ?

Any political manifesto fielded by maority views on this site would most likely be a scary prospect!

No thanks.

Matey, my post was slightly tongue-in-cheek; everyone should have a say, and I do believe that we need more major parties. Not sure a PH party is the way to go though...

Yeah. You lot are all a bit left wing for my personal taste.

I don't know what it's got to do with the Maori's though.

At least one PH member is looking to stand for parliament at the next election, and given the constituency, if he gets the nod from the relevant party association, he WILL get in!

(But I won't say who it is, so don't ask.)

Consider that out of 50K members, not all are regular visitors, a portion are from overseas, and judging by the heated debates nothing would ever be decided. It's a nice thought though.

Hmm, interesting Idea:

PM: Ted
Chancellor: Eric Mc
Foreign Secretary: LA
Home Secretary: Vixpy1
Culture Secetary: Twincam16

Anyone care to add to / change the above?

Actually, PH is nowhere near powerful enough to form a political party, and there's no way that we'd agree the policies. However, I reckon it could have some influence lobbying because of the 50,000 votes available.

hmm. when we said that we would have to store our equipmnet somewhere, i think you got confused: thats the not the kind of several working orrifices the party would need.

Well, it seems to me that the bulk of PH'ers are right wing, in fact very right wing. Despite all the bleating about personal freedom and the liberty of the individual, I expect a PH party would also be extremely authoritarian. Also Rabidly anti-European.
So many rants about so many things that need fixing too, this would cost money so no chance of lower taxation.

There is already such a party in existence.

The Tory party
