I take it that if it turns out that The Voice was wrong and a young black girl was not roped by a gang of 19 Asian men they will be prosecuted for inciting racial hatred?
How irrsponsible to fuel the fires (litererally) without being sure they had the facts right. It may have cost at least one man his life.
From the video fotage it looks like the hoodie might also be in for another bashing as almost all the perpetrators were wearing them.

The only things the 'Have-nots' hate more than the 'haves' is other 'have-nots' having a bit more than they do.
It seems this recent tension before this incident was fed by jealousy over Asian success in business and buying local property.
Forgot to say, I had a bit of an odd feeling over all this. The asian MP was on the TV and I heard myself saying "well this wil be blamed on the local black people then, the Asians will be seen as guilt free".
But then I thought for a minute what it must be like for the local Asian and Black folks when a white MP/policeman/worthy stands up and starts to explain why there have been inter-racial problems. Hit me that I take things for granted being white.

Nice thought. But aint never going to happen.
another thing is that the young asians and blacks are competing for the same drug business. if the asians move out then the blacks run it(at street level) and vice versa.shame is that the have nots,of any race,look up to the moderately successful drug dealer as a role model.
trust me i have know criminals who if they just went out and got a job at mcdonalds would have eaned more money than from crime. although selling big macs may soon become a crime.

If you read 'Freakeconomics' there is a fascinating chapter on the drugs business. The street pushers often earn less than the minimum wage, while the gang bosses earn hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

irony is that alot of the young asian gangsta types use black rappers as their role models..they even talk like them...and when I hear them speak it makes me cringe.

I totally agree. If you know the area in Birmingham you will know that very few people choose to live there. As soon as anybody makes any money they move out irrespective of their colour.
