Three of us are going this evening to see the early set. The tickets are “Table- not reserved” as opposed to “standing”, performance starts at 7-30 and doors open at 6-30. Does anyone know the form? Is it important to get there at 6-30, should we be earlier? Thanks for any advice.

I'd aim to get there at about 6:30-6:45. The place is quite small, so you'll get a good viewpoint wherever you end up sitting, so don't worry too much... Though it's always nice to have a choice of tables. When I've been, I've always ended up arriving a bit later than planned, but still got a good seat.
