How do I get football tickets?

My brother back from Australia over christmas and ive promised to try and get tickets for a Spurs game (I know-dont waste you humour).
The only home match is Newcastle so obviously tickets will be difficult and used up by season tickets/members. Are there other ways to get tickets?
Can you get single tickets in the hospitality suites for example?
If so any idea of the cost?

Thanks ferg- Id alreay been there Im not quite that lazy (but almost).
What it doesnt tell you is whether there is any realistic chance of getting tickets nor prices/hospitality availability i.e. my question.

Cheers very much - you too (well, maybe...)...if you don't have any luck with them, I've got a few links somewhere for independent ticket agencies that I can dig out on Monday...although just googling for football tickets should bring some up.

Absolute nightmare, I go to Anfield as often as I can, I start by attempting to buy online the second the tickets are released, and get an instant snub. Then it's on to battering the phones until you get through, normally about 10:30, and get a crap seat. Tomorrow I'm lucky to have a restricted view seat and I only just got that. But next Tuesday for our Champions League I'm on the Kop sucking some goals in for the first time. Can't wait !!
